About the Position

Midwives are central to Bushulo's mission — supporting mothers through antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care with skill and compassion.

Job Summary

The Midwife will manage normal deliveries, provide antenatal and postnatal care, and support the wider maternal health team in reducing preventable maternal and newborn complications.

Main Responsibilities / Duties

• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to mothers.
• Manage normal deliveries and identify complications requiring physician support.
• Counsel mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and family planning.
• Maintain accurate labor and delivery records.
• Participate in emergency obstetric response as needed.

Required Qualifications

• BSc or Diploma in Midwifery.
• Valid professional license.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical midwifery experience.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong clinical skills in normal and emergency delivery care.
• Calm, compassionate communication with mothers and families.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights.
