About the Position

Pediatric Nurses are at the heart of Bushulo's child health services, delivering hands-on care and support to families in the Well-Baby and Sick Child clinics.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Nurse provides direct nursing care to infants and children, supports immunization outreach, and works closely with physicians across pediatric services.

Main Responsibilities / Duties

• Provide direct nursing care to infants and children in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Support immunization services and record-keeping.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures in Well-Baby and Sick Child clinics.
• Educate caregivers on child health, nutrition, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with clinical protocols.
• Participate in infection prevention and control practices.

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with pediatric training.
• Valid nursing license from the relevant regulatory body.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; pediatric experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong clinical assessment skills for infants and children.
• Compassionate, patient-centered communication with children and caregivers.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an advantage.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
